Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Kitchen Manager experience in a full-service restaurant preferably high-volume
  • Demonstrated ability to provide amazing experience for customers and staff
  • Demonstrated training development of staff
  • Proven track record of results
  • Ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to serve others, excellent people skills, problem solving skills, high standards, a strong work ethic and a continuous drive to improve.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and exemplify our purpose statement and values.
  • Increase sales through customer satisfaction.
  • Hiring and teaching the hiring of quality people.
  • Watch and quickly correct wasteful practices.
  • Delegate and follow through – inspect what you expect.
  • Ensure all staff is well trained and motivated with high morale.
  • Maintain safe food handling procedures and cleanliness of kitchen.
  • Learn what it takes to run a store – not a kitchen.
  • Hands on supervision of all staff
  • Develop a partnership relationship with all vendors.
  • Enforce systems set in place and ensure others are doing the same.
  • Discipline staff including managers.
  • Keep recipe binders up to date, in good condition and easy to reach.
  • Make recipe cards mandatory.
  • Plan for teaching moments every day.
  • Perform detailed line checks before every shift.
  • Develop key people at the window and expo station.
  • Constantly encourage communication and organization.
  • Meet ticket time goals.
  • Have uncompromising values for quality
  • Understand equipment, basic repair and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Always have a plan B, C and D.
