About The Position

Pepp & Dolores, part of Thunderdome Restaurant Group, is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for its OTR location in Cincinnati. Inspired by Sunday supper and hospitality, the restaurant features fresh pastas and curated wines. The Assistant Kitchen Manager assists with the overall operation of the kitchen, including people, product, quality, and hospitality, and works directly under the Kitchen Manager. The role is suited to someone passionate about the work and motivated to grow with the restaurant group.

Requirements

• Experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager or in a comparable kitchen leadership role.
• Passion for the work and motivation to grow alongside the restaurant group.
• Ability to continuously move and regularly bend, lift, push, pull, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading the back-of-house team.
• Hire, train, schedule, and develop back-of-house team members, and hold them accountable to the company’s standards.
• Execute taste plates to ensure food product quality.
• Ensure recipes are updated and followed according to brand standards.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and health standards.
• Implement and manage Thunderdome Restaurant Group standards and expectations.
