The Assistant Human Resources Manager works closely with the HR Manager to oversee daily HR operations and support the organization's strategic goals. The ideal candidate serves as a trusted advisor to both management and staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues fairly, efficiently, and in compliance with legal standards.
  • Champion initiatives that boost employee engagement, retention, and morale.
  • Assist in managing employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave administration & interactive process management (FMLA, short-term disability, etc.).
  • Support annual open enrollment periods and conduct employee benefits briefings.
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws to ensure strict organizational compliance.
  • Assist with annual performance review process, providing coaching to managers on constructive feedback and goal setting.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate and confidential personnel records within the HRIS.
