The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms and public spaces consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping supervisory or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 25+ pounds
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Support the Housekeeping leadership in coordinating daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms and public areas.
  • Maintain a high level of positive and professional interaction with employees, coworkers and guests.
  • Assist in assigning daily work schedules and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet occupancy demands.
  • Provide on-the-floor leadership presence to support team members and maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and brand presentation standards are met.
  • Assist with training, mentoring and performance management of housekeeping team members.
  • Monitor inventory levels of linens, supplies and equipment and assist with ordering as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and health regulations and company policies.
  • Address guest concerns and housekeeping-related service recovery promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain effective communication with Front Desk, Maintenance and other departments to support guest needs.
  • Assist with tracking and maintaining housekeeping records, logs and reports.
  • Support deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by leadership.
