About The Position

Our Housekeeping teams play a key role in driving operational and service excellence across the entire property. As the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you’re not just leading the hotel’s daily laundry and housekeeping operations– you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest! The Housekeeping Assistant Manager reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping or Housekeeping Manager. This highly visible leadership position provides a strong presence throughout the hotel and active engagement with guests and employees. The Housekeeping Assistant Manager maintains strong oversight and supervision across Laundry and Housekeeping operations to ensure consistency in the presentation, availability, and cleanliness of hotel rooms, linens, and public spaces. The Housekeeping Assistant Manager champions the hiring, onboarding, performance, staffing, scheduling, training and development of the team while ensuring that Laundry and Housekeeping services consistently support exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, long-term business goals, and the overall success of the property.

Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be reliable, report to work on time, and be able to work all shifts on-site
  • Must have open availability Monday-Sunday and be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to work the necessary hours and a rotating schedule to support the needs of the department, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and key events
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be currently eligible to work in the United States of America and able to present required original employment authorization documents, as required to complete the Form I-9 on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations: Manage cleanliness, service, and product quality standards in guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and meeting areas
  • Ensure room readiness: Coordinate housekeeping efforts to ensure rooms are cleaned and available for guests promptly and efficiently
  • Manage departmental processes: Oversee systems usage, cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and policy enforcement to drive efficiency and profitability
  • Conduct inspections: Oversee and perform room and public area inspections to maintain high-quality standards and compliance
  • Inspire and develop the team: Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Develop a high-performing team: Champion engagement and retention through performance management, employee development, appreciation and recognition programs that motivate the team and promote positive employee relations.
  • Recruit & Onboard Talent: Assist the Director of Housekeeping in recruiting, hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training of Housekeeping and Laundry staff to strengthen the department's talent pipeline.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance: Ensure employees adhere to health and safety standards, particularly as related to proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies
