The Assistant Housekeeping Manager (AHM) supports the Housekeeping Manager in the daily leadership and operation of the housekeeping and laundry department. This position helps ensure that guest rooms, casitas, public areas, restrooms, offices, and other assigned Resort spaces consistently meet established standards for cleanliness, presentation, safety, sanitation, and guest readiness. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager provides daily directions to supervisors and team members, conducts quality inspections, supports training and employee development, responds to guest concerns, maintains Lost and Found procedures, assists with scheduling and inventory, and coordinates closely with Guest Services, Maintenance, and other Resort departments. Effective communication is a key aspect of this role, involving regular coordination with the management team and resort leadership. The role requires a commitment to creating a positive and welcoming guest experience, understanding its significance in the overall success of the resort. Flexibility is essential, as the AHM must be available for emergency calls during non-working hours. Maintaining a composed demeanor in challenging situations is a priority, ensuring that the resort continues to operate smoothly, and guests have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong attention to detail, organization, communication, accountability, and a willingness to assist with housekeeping duties when business or staffing needs require.
