The Assistant House Manager is a working supervisor who leads on shift, trains new DSPs, and keeps the household systems running well. You will partner with the House Manager to make Bedford a place where the people we support live full lives and where staff feel supported and capable. This role is the next step toward House Manager.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities is required to be considered for this role.
• Completion of the DMH Certified DSP program within 90 days of hire is required
• Age 18 or older, with a high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver's license
• The ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach DSPs on shift, and model the positive support we expect.
• Train new DSPs in the home and help them build confidence.
• Run the household systems, including documentation, medications, routines, and supplies.
• Support the people who live at Bedford in all service and support needs
• Step in for the House Manager when needed.
