The Assistant House Manager is responsible for the safety and comfort of patrons during performances and public occupancy. This role supervises scheduled Usher staff during assigned events, coordinates front-of-house activities in the theater, and enforces theater, college, and event policies. The Assistant House Manager manages crowd control and safety/security regulations, serves as a primary point of contact with patrons to answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and address complaints, and promotes and maintains positive public relations for the theater with its clients and patrons. This role also maintains a proper image for the event and acts as a liaison to Boston Police and security staff. Additionally, the Assistant House Manager prepares, opens, and secures the facility before and after each event.
