About The Position

Under the supervision of PROS Manager, the Group Leader Assistant is responsible for providing quality therapeutic services to the individuals who attend PROS. The Group Leader Assistant helps with admissions, assessments, groups, and individual mental health services while working with the individuals on their caseload to help them achieve life goals. The Group Leader Assistant works as part of an interdisciplinary team within PROS and may participate in committees, work groups, and other partnerships external to the program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of six (6) months of professional experience in the mental health or human services field required.
  • Functional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Computer skills and the ability to learn and use multiple applications
  • Proficient writing skills with grasp of basic grammar and spelling
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essential
  • Must be efficient, well organized, and have excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and satisfy criteria to be an agency driver required.
  • No convictions for crimes that preclude a person from working with members of a vulnerable population

Responsibilities

  • Works with assigned caseload of approximately 12-18 individuals.
  • Under the supervision of professional PROS staff, provides 1:1 and group services to adults with mental health diagnoses.
  • Completes various assessments integral to the development of treatment plans.
  • Works alongside assigned caseload to develop Individualized Action Plans that reflect the participant’s life goals.
  • Develops and implements curriculums to meet the needs of the individuals within the program.
  • Assists with screenings, intakes, and admissions responsibilities.
  • Participates in external marketing and program related events and initiatives, as requested.
  • Prevents, recognizes, and reports abuse toward the people we support.
  • Ensures that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Always communicates in a respectful manner with all people including the people we support, supervisors, other valued team members, and members of the community.
  • Complies fully with FREE’s confidentiality policies by holding in strictest confidence all information pertaining to members, residents, the people we support and their families, clients, providers, contractors, and employees.
  • Meets all safety training requirements; adheres to all safety policies and reports any and all unsafe conditions; takes measures to prevent accidents and/or eliminate conditions that pose a safety or health risk.
  • Coordinates, supports, attends and participates in all required events/ meetings/ reviews/ committees, including ones outside of standard working hours.
  • Meets all job requirements and stays in compliance.
  • Adheres to FREE’s standard of ethical behavior as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct as well as applicable laws and regulations.
