About The Position

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers and assists with the operation of the grocery department. Supports the Grocery Manager with department operations and financial performance, oversees grocery clerks, and monitors merchandising, product rotation, and inventory levels to promote sales. The role may also be responsible for the store at the need and discretion of the Store Manager.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
Satisfactory performance reviews.
Basic computer skills.
Strong communication skills.
High school degree or equivalent.
6–12 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service, including smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
Assist the Grocery Manager with daily department operations, including merchandising, pricing, stocking, signing, plan-o-grams, displays, product rotation, and inventory levels.
Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies for the Grocery department and meet transmission times.
Store excess product in the back room or designated area.
Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service throughout the store.
Provide front-end services as business needs require.
Ensure company and state sanitation and pricing procedures and regulations are followed in grocery operations.
Unload warehouse merchandise from trucks.
Assist with training and developing new associates in grocery operations.
Be responsible for the store at the need and discretion of the Store Manager.
Control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties assigned by management and adhere to company policies and procedures.
