Arcis Golf is looking to hire an Assistant General Manager/Head Golf Professional for Angel Park in Las Vegas, Nevada. Requirements

  • Four years of hospitality, customer service and management experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop team members.
  • Effective communication and listening skills to meet and exceed our member, guest and team member expectations.
  • Ability to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to create & manage SOPs for all departments.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, problem solving, reasoning, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, variances and percentages are used daily.
  • A significant amount of time is spent communicating and interacting with various people inside and outside the company.
  • Listening and speaking to staff, making quick decisions and using problem-solving skills.
  • Reading and writing abilities are often used when communicating with the golf course department managers when planning budgets and developing forecasts.

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with the General Manager and Department Head Managers in running the operations of the club.
  • Responsible for building event programming, maintaining established operational standards, monitoring financial forecasting and results, and effectively leading the team to produce the best result for the club.
  • Create and manage new systems, processes and services that create exceptional guest experience and club results.
  • Ensure the proper controls are in place to accurately track revenues, payroll, inventory and expenses.
  • Develop department managers and key employees to achieve maximum performance and achieve all initiatives and goals.
  • Oversee the golf operations at the club which include two 18-hole courses, one 12-hole executive course and a 9-hole putting course.
  • Recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of all staff including the tournament coordinator, assistant professionals, outside assistants, mechanic, starters and on-course hosts.
  • Oversee the reservation system, starting, and monitoring of play.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, including forecasting and reviewing of all golf revenues and expenses on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain and oversee a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with patron demographics and needs.
  • Implement cash and systems controls to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.
  • Oversee and manage the golf operation and work cooperatively with other departments.
  • Promote an exceptional "golf experience," and provide excellent services and programs to all patrons.
  • Track and verify all players and guests, golf cars, club care, handicap fees, and other charges necessary, and facilitate proper controls.
  • Shift management includes nights and weekends to ensure staff members are providing excellent guest service.
