About The Position

Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Girls' Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 26-27 season, starting this Fall. This role will support the head coach and the development of the volleyball program at Propel Andrew Street High School, Propel Braddock Hills High School, and Propel Montour High School. The position involves supporting the Varsity program, implementing off-season programs, attending required PIAA meetings and trainings, and demonstrating a commitment to the Promising Principles of Propel.

Requirements

Up-to-date TB Test
Act 34 Criminal Clearance
Act 114 FBI Clearance
Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
Mandated Reporter Training
High School Diploma or better

Nice To Haves

Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
Experience as a head coach or assistant coach
Playing experience
Demonstrated ability to support building a successful program starting at the varsity level
Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
Ability to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of an education-based athletic program
Proven experience as a coach on the youth and/or interscholastic levels

Responsibilities

Supporting the head coach and the development of the program
Supporting the Varsity program with the head coach and athletic director
Implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
Attending all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings
Attending mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations
Participating in ongoing professional development
