About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Girls' Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 26-27 season starting this Fall at Propel Andrew Street High School/Propel Braddock Hills High School and Propel Montour High School. The 2026-2027 volleyball season is scheduled to begin on August 17th, 2026 and is anticipated to conclude in November, although the season may end earlier depending on if the team participates in postseason. This position includes a seasonal stipend of $2,000, which will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
Requirements
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
- High School Diploma or better
- Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a head coach or assistant coach
- Playing experience
- Demonstrated ability to support building a successful program starting at the varsity level
- Proven experience as a coach on the youth and/or interscholastic levels
Responsibilities
- Supporting the head coach and the development of the program
- Supporting the Varsity program with the head coach and athletic director
- Supporting the implementation of off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
- Attending all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations
- Participating in ongoing professional development
- Committing to the Promising Principles of Propel
