About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball Coach for the 26-27 season. This role involves supporting the Varsity program, implementing off-season programs, attending PIAA meetings and trainings, and demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills. The season runs from November to February, with a seasonal stipend of $3,000, prorated for those starting late.
Requirements
- Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a head coach or assistant coach
- Playing experience
- Demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Varsity program with the assistant coach, athletic director and other coaching staff
- Implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
- Attending all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings
- Participating in mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations
- Ongoing professional development
