Assistant Girls Golf Coach
About The Position
Albert Lea Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Golf Coach to support the girls golf program and help develop student-athletes. The coach will assist the Head Coach with practices, games, and team activities; support player development; help manage equipment and logistics; and foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes student growth and academic success. The position represents Albert Lea Activities and the community as a positive role model. The school describes its coaching environment as emphasizing excellence, inclusion, opportunity, teamwork, and community, with administrative support and excellent facilities.
Requirements
- Coaching and/or playing experience in golf is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of golf strategy, fundamentals, and player safety.
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Must meet MSHSL and Albert Lea Area Schools coaching requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, games, and team activities.
- Support individual player development, emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, and accountability.
- Help manage equipment, game preparation, and logistics.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student growth and academic success.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff.
- Serve as a positive role model representing Albert Lea Activities and the community.
