Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including representing AutoCamp / Field Station and the property with the press
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite applications
  • Strong math and quantitative reasoning skills
  • Ability to solve problems in creative ways and with limited resources
  • A passion for the great outdoors
  • 2+ years management experience in the hospitality industry or related industry
  • Be well groomed and have a keen sense of style and an appreciation for good design.
  • Practice thoroughness and an attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent and attentive customer service.
  • Be a creative problem solver who can find solutions when issues arise.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on creating memorable guest and associate experiences
  • Be available during peak hours to assist the front desk (Guest Experience) team and interact with guests on a daily basis
  • Review daily arrival lists for special comments including VIP's. Provide welcome amenities and ensure all special requests are followed up by the front desk team
  • Interact professionally with guests, clients, and associates in all email, telephone and face to face interactions
  • Respond within 24 hours to all guest email inquiries and comments.
  • Review Guest Satisfaction Scores using Revinate and respond to guest alerts per AutoCamp SOP
  • Exceed expectations of a TripAdvisor score of 4.5 or better
  • Work closely with GM on special programming to enhance guest experience
  • Create wow; provide Guest Delight and Positive First Impressions on a daily basis
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with sales team
  • Participate in the hotel group sales process, primarily being available during busy group periods
  • Be available for site visits for potential group bookings. Provide a Wow Factor.
  • Assist in providing operational feedback on groups and events
  • Participate in Pre-Con meetings with Leadership Team to review Group Resumes with the client and team
  • Ensure food and beverage offerings are on brand and within budget guidelines
  • Assist front office team in executing F&B plan
  • Ensure the F&B and Retail in the market is fully stocked, organized and merchandised appropriately
  • Order food and beverage supplies weekly
  • Establish inventory controls and participate in month-end inventory and as needed
  • Cover manager/supervisor shifts as required in Food, Beverage and Retail outlets
  • Ensure proper coverage at the front desk and support team members with guest needs to include receiving and checking guests in or out upon departure.
  • Cover manager/supervisor shifts as required at Front Desk and/or Housekeeping
  • Work closely with GM, Maintenance, and Housekeeping Manager to improve property cleanliness
  • Inspect 5 guest rooms per week to ensure quality and cleanliness. Walk the property daily, and provide feedback to the General Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all public areas, including storerooms
  • Support ongoing culture initiatives on property, including working with property Cultural Ambassadors, scheduling quarterly team member events, and supporting philanthropy projects
  • Cultivate AutoCamp core values and culture by engaging and motivating team members
  • Implement action plans based on property Happiness Survey results
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train new associates with a focus on cultural fit
  • Work with Leadership Team to drive success across all departments
  • Monitor labor and scheduling in adherence to budget guidelines
  • Insure all associate worker's compensation incidents are documented following SOP
  • Insure all guest incidents are properly documented per SOP
  • Perform quarterly and annual performance reviews per SOP
  • Works with People and Culture Manager on coaching, counseling and all disciplinary actions
  • Responsible for hotel P&L for Rooms (shared by Front Desk & Housekeeping), F&B, and Retail
  • Works closely with GM & corporate accounting team
  • Focus on GOP margins and expenses to be in line with budget
  • Review, approve and input invoices into accounting and expense report systems.
  • Maintain accurate accounting files for each vendor
  • Respond to accounting inquires and chargeback within 24 hours
  • Take weekly/monthly inventory ordering supplies and operating equipment while adhering to monthly budget
  • Track all purchases within budget guidelines
  • Work with GM for approval of all non-budgeted expenses
  • Participates in the annual budget process to create operating budget
  • Assists with execution of annual and quarterly capital expense improvement plans
  • Respond to occasional after hours or emergency calls from guests and addressing issues promptly
  • Special projects as assigned by GM
  • Participate in all conference calls as required
