About The Position

We're seeking a dynamic Assistant General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence and profitability. In this key leadership role, you'll partner with the General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations, lead and develop high-performing teams, ensure brand and company standards are exceeded, and contribute to the property's financial success. You'll be a visible presence for both guests and associates, helping create an environment where service, accountability, and results come first.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of hotel management or hospitality leadership experience; Marriott experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting, and cost controls.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems.
  • Ability to effectively interact with guests, associates, and leadership teams.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and area amenities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring compliance with Shaner policies and franchise standards.
  • Drive revenue growth, control expenses, and help achieve financial goals.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire team members to deliver outstanding guest service.
  • Oversee food & beverage operations, including bar management and banquet/event execution.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service by resolving concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and operational excellence.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, quality scores, and operational performance metrics.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, budgeting and inventory controls.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as needed.
