About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) partners with the General Manager to lead day-to-day operations across all departments in a full-service Holiday Inn hotel. This role is crucial for influencing guest satisfaction, team performance, and hotel profitability. The AGM acts as the operational backbone, supporting all departments to ensure smooth functioning and delivering exceptional hospitality and operational excellence within the IHG Hotels & Resorts family.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hotel leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience across multiple hotel departments (Rooms + F&B preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive results
  • Financial awareness (labor, cost control, daily reports)
  • Hands-on, visible leadership style
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, and Guest Services
  • Ensure a seamless, high-quality guest experience from arrival to departure
  • Lead, coach, and support department managers and team members
  • Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism and urgency
  • Monitor occupancy, room readiness, and operational performance
  • Assist with budgeting, labor management, and cost control initiatives
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain brand and cleanliness standards
  • Support hiring, training, and team development efforts
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
