Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary coursework in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of progressive hotel management experience.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, brand standards, and guest service excellence.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and profit & loss statements.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally or occasionally overnight for training.
  • Frequent walking throughout the hotel, standing, bending, climbing stairs, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel while ensuring exceptional guest service, strong financial performance, and an engaging workplace culture.
  • Create a positive, collaborative work environment where associates feel valued and empowered.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to reach their full potential.
  • Foster open communication and recognize employee contributions.
  • Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive service and memorable hospitality.
  • Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive workplace.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing associates.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular coaching and feedback.
  • Lead ongoing training and development initiatives.
  • Support department managers through consistent leadership coaching.
  • Build a culture focused on growth, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Assist in overseeing all hotel operations to ensure efficiency and exceptional service.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support budgeting, financial planning, revenue optimization, and expense management.
  • Partner with leadership on capital improvement projects and operational enhancements.
  • Help ensure the hotel consistently exceeds brand and guest expectations.
  • Champion brand standards across every department.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and prepare for brand audits.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive occupancy and revenue.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, associates, vendors, and community partners.
  • Help maintain compliance with safety, risk management, and company policies.
