The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for building a great workplace for strong performers by promoting and driving an engaged workforce, career development, and learning. The AGM must inspire and mentor all team members to reach their full potential, develop bench strength for all positions within their assigned area of responsibility, and partner with the General Manager to develop training plans for high-performing associates. This role also involves sourcing high-potential candidates, ensuring compliance training is completed, and meeting performance goals for the team. The AGM must also ensure a passion for the guest, maintain a professional restaurant image, and enforce sanitary practices. They will drive top-line sales and profitability by creating schedules to maximize sales, managing inventory, maintaining food costs, and adhering to security and loss prevention procedures. The AGM needs a thorough understanding of all hardware and software systems used in the role, adaptability to changing circumstances, and problem-solving skills. They must exhibit efficiency, work independently, and ensure compliance with all operational standards, company policies, and laws. Effective communication, accessibility to management and staff, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial.
