About The Position

The Assistant General Manager – Traveling supports hotel properties and staff in an assigned region. As part of the Hotel Operations Leadership team, this role provides leadership across hotel departments, helps deliver exceptional guest service, and trains, develops, and coaches team members. The position works across multiple properties and helps maintain high service standards, quality assurance results, and effective service, cost, labor, and team-engagement outcomes.

Requirements

• Positive, can-do attitude.
• At least one year of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership success.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field.
• Hotel-specific experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support hotel properties and staff in the assigned region in a variety of ways.
• Provide leadership across all hotel departments and take the lead in delivering exceptional service to guests.
• Train, develop, and coach team members to help them succeed in their roles.
• Cultivate exceptional guest service across multiple properties by establishing high service standards and hiring suitable team members.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members across hotel areas while gaining experience throughout the company’s hotel portfolio.
• Model quality assurance best practices and consistently meet or exceed quality assurance visit measures.
• Deliver key business measures for service, cost and labor controls, and team engagement through hands-on leadership, delegation, and empowering team members.
• Use critical thinking to handle challenging situations, proactively resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.
