About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced airport environment where teamwork, adaptability, and leadership development are key. As Assistant General Manager, you’ll work side-by-side with the General Manager to keep operations running smoothly while building your leadership skills every day. The role involves supporting the GM & Team by partnering closely with the GM to lead day-to-day operations and ensure a seamless guest experience. You will lead by example, stepping into a leadership role on the floor—coaching, motivating, and supporting team members. You will develop your skills by gaining hands-on experience in scheduling, inventory, cost control, and performance management. You will drive the guest experience by helping ensure every guest receives fast, friendly, and high-quality service. You will build team strength by assisting in training and developing team members, helping create a positive and accountable culture. You will step up when needed, confidently taking the lead when the GM is off-site or unavailable.

Requirements

  • Experience as a shift leader, supervisor, or assistant manager in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • A strong desire to grow into a General Manager role
  • Natural leadership ability and a willingness to coach and support others
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid communication and problem-solving skills
  • A team-first mindset with a focus on delivering a great guest experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • Obtain and maintain current Serve Safe Food Manager’s Certification within six months of hire/promotion.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing on a ladder, and walking long distances.
  • Standing for long periods and the ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures.
  • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
  • Must agree to work various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment. The schedule is determined by business needs.
  • Proficiency required in reading and writing, Microsoft Office Suite, and mathematics.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
