The Assistant General Counsel will lead legal support and strategy for the global Supply Chain and Purchasing organization, which supports approximately $20 billion in annual procurement activity. The role may be based in the United States or the United Kingdom and is a senior leadership position spanning legal strategy, commercial judgment, supply-chain risk management, and transformation. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted adviser to senior executives and as a member of both the Purchasing Leadership Team and Legal Leadership Team. The position will lead legal support for complex procurement, supply, services, technology, licensing, outsourcing, and commercial contracting matters across global markets. It will also develop strategies for critical supplier relationships, high-value negotiations, disputes, supply-chain resilience, and enterprise risk mitigation, and advise on global regulatory and compliance requirements. The Assistant General Counsel will lead and develop a global legal team, partner with the Chief Legal Officer and senior executives on Legal Function strategy and enterprise-wide policies, and independently direct high-impact initiatives and legal service delivery. Some domestic and international travel is required.
