About The Position

We’re looking for an Assistant Gas Bar Manager at our Taylor Drive Gas Bar in Red Deer to help oversee daily operations, support our team, and ensure a safe, positive experience for customers. Central Alberta Co-op (CAC) is participating in the Alberta Youth Incentive Program which supports hiring youth from the ages of 15 to 24. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with eligibility for benefits after 3 months. Availability is needed for weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Three (3) years retail supervisory experience
• Some heavy lifting is required (up to 50 lbs.)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly and co-operative attitude in the workplace each day
• Oversee the operation and administration of the gas bar in the manager's absence
• Manage the procurement of merchandise within the gas bar
• Ensure the receiving and handling of merchandise meets Central Alberta Co-op policies, procedures and standards
• Provide leadership in the areas of loss prevention and health & safety
• Contribute to a positive customer experience, ensuring products and service provided aligns with the expectations of external and internal customers
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
