About The Position

Join Central Alberta Co-op as a Shipper/Receiver and help ensure smooth receiving, accurate preparation of shipping product, and appealing displays. Bring your positive attitude and commitment to great customer service. If you're detail-oriented and safety-minded, we’d love to have you on our team. This is a part-time position with 24-36 hours per week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. Availability required for weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required.
Applicants must be over 14 years old (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required).

Nice To Haves

Experience in customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive and unpack product following proper receiving habits, including accurate piece counts and documentation of damages or shortages.
Count, stock, face, and rotate inventory using the First In, First Out (FIFO) process.
Ensure products are displayed, stored, and signed in a manner that will not damage the products.
Prepare merchandise for transportation and prepare proper documentation.
Ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety by emptying containers, sweeping floors, and using PPE appropriately.
Ensure that all customers are pleasantly welcomed and handle special customer requests in an efficient and friendly manner.
Assist with inventory control through counts and visual inspections.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
