Requirements
- Current Food Safety Manager or Food Handler Certification (ServSafe or State certification)
- CDM / CFPP Certification preferred where required by State regulation for long-term care
- Ability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and supervision of the dietary staff, including food preparation, serving, and clean-up activities on varying shifts as needed
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met
- Operate a variety of industrial kitchen equipment and perform job assignments of dietary aides, cooks, and dishwashers
- Assume responsibility of managing and supervising the dietary staff at a single site in the absence of the Dietary Director
- Lead small groups of assistants in food preparation, serving, and clean-up activities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards
