Casino M8trix is actively recruiting an Assistant Food & Beverage Director to lead, direct, and motivate our Food & Beverage Service staff and ensure our guests have an outstanding and entertaining experience.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Successfully pass a background check
  • Speak English fluently and coherently (bi-lingual a plus)
  • Have flexible working hours (We are open and have Managers on duty 24/7/365)
  • Minimum of 3 year of Food & Beverage experience OR Hospitality/Food & Beverage College degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage management experience
  • Craft cocktail experience
  • Creativity to assist in developing a cocktail menu
  • Ability to train bar staff on cocktail preparation and efficient service
  • Experience directing bar staff on measured pouring, cleanliness, and station organization
  • Ability to assist the F&B Director with ordering and inventory
  • Strong knowledge of wine and beer
  • Ability to maintain targeted cost percentages
  • Strong skills in leadership, motivation, facilitation, and communication (both written and oral)
  • Extremely professional presence and can lead by example
  • Knowledge of inventory systems is a plus
  • Problem-solver, proactive, and “out of the box” thinker
  • Committed, trustworthy, and possesses a strong work ethic
  • Takes great pride in doing their job well and seeing others succeed
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Assist with ensuring budgets stay on target, all accounting procedures are maintained.
  • As part of the management Team, ensure training, mentoring, succession plans and morale are ongoing.
  • Recommends staff hiring, promotions, and discipline to the Food & Beverage Director.
  • Ensure service levels, and customer service is at the highest level.
  • Must be able to maintain knowledge of, and ensure compliance with all applicable Title 16, Minimum Internal Control Standards, State Gaming Regulations, and other City, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Director in overseeing all food service outlets within the unit including restaurant, bar, retail food outlet, and gaming area.
  • Participate in establishing unit financial and operating goals.
  • Work actively to ensure the outlets meet financial and operating goals.
  • Assist Food & Beverage Director to develop, implement, and maintain quality standards for outlets to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Organize and conduct departmental meetings and on-going service training.
  • Maintain communication with all departments.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Director in scheduling staff, orientating on work assignments, and provide necessary training.
  • Assist employees with concerns and support staff in their job functions.
  • Respond to guest complaints and management requests in a timely manner.
  • Work and cooperate with managers and supervisors and keep them informed of any issues as they arise. Keep the Food & Beverage Director fully informed of all problems or matters as they arise and of any problems or matters requiring attention.
  • Attend all meetings and trainings and participate in programs as required.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards.
  • Possess ability to work irregular hours, nights, and weekends, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the business.
  • Know, enforce, comply, and adhere to company standards, company procedures, federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning the service of alcoholic beverages, health, safety, sanitation, and other requirements.
  • Encourage safe and efficient operations.
  • Hold in strictest confidence any confidential or proprietary information relating to the business of Garden City, Inc. dba Casino M8trix, guests, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
