About The Position

Support the effective operation and maintenance of Sheetz facilities by assisting in the leadership and oversight of maintenance teams, subcontractors, and service vendors. Responsible for ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Sheetz standards through employee development, scheduling and resource coordination, quality assurance, and budget management, while fostering a positive, performance-driven work environment that supports Store Operations. Directly supervise and manage rollouts including internal facility maintenance crews and technicians and sub-contractors responsible for landscaping, snow removal, and store cleaning.

Requirements

Associates degree in Construction Management or related field required
Minimum 3 years’ experience in facility maintenance, building systems, construction, or a related technical field required.
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in overseeing technicians, skilled trades, or maintenance staff including daily work direction and performance feedback required.
Valid Driver’s License required
Hand tools (hammer, measuring devices, wrench, level, etc.)
Power Hand tools (saws, drill press, grinders, sanders, etc.)
Pneumatic tools (compressor, nailer, stapler, jack hammer, etc.)
Landscaping tools (chain saw, leaf blower, weed eater, etc.)
Motorized Equipment (generators, pressure washer, fork lift, etc.)
Heavy Equipment: (Loader and attachments, lift, etc.)
Tools related to construction and general industry

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree in Business, Construction Management or related field preferred
Previous experience in monitoring labor and/or operational costs preferred.

Responsibilities

Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews, and presenting developmental opportunities.
Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, monitoring job progress, work quality, and productivity to ensure timely completion of work while maximizing efficiency and profitability.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirement, including enforcement of all applicable OSHA safety standards and promoting a culture of safety across internal teams and subcontractors
Maintain facility standards by ensuring that Sheetz Facilities meet operational, appearance, and performance standards and expectations established Store Operations.
Foster a positive work environment and culture for all employees in accordance with the high standards of Sheetz, Inc.
Coordinate and deliver training on equipment, tools, and installation practices to ensure work is performed in accordance with Sheetz guidelines and best practices
Assist in managing all aspects of facility maintenance to include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, development, and performance evaluations, as well as, running day-to-day activities.
Support the management of sub-contracted services (landscaping, snow removal, 65) to include contractor selection, scheduling, performance monitoring, as well as, managing day-to-day activities.
Develop and maintain effective staffing plans to ensure adequate service coverage and, minimization of repeat service calls while maintaining meet performance standards and work execution within approved operational budgets.
Perform onsite follow up to work performed by outside service vendors and document findings
