About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Assistant Executive Director to join our team at The Boulevard St Peters in St. Peters, Missouri. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to be a key leader in a community that prioritizes a home-like environment for both residents and team members. As the "First Face" of the community, you will coordinate the recruitment process, serve as a welcoming host, and ensure the smooth operation of the front desk. You will also act as a "Management Mechanic" by maintaining routines and aligning staff with effective procedures, and as an "HR Guru" by guiding HR matters, tracking training, and boosting employee satisfaction. Furthermore, you will be an "Entrepreneurial Steward," managing financial and business needs while supervising organizational structure and general order.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Two (2) years of college; at least three (3) years of experience providing residential care to the elderly; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in handling bookkeeping and knowledge of basic accounting with an ability to adhere to the company’s accounting policies.
  • Good character and a reputation of personal integrity.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Docs.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling for brief periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable sitting at a desk between six and eight hours a day.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Ability to work varying hours as needed with reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the welcoming host and "First Face" of the community, coordinating the recruitment process.
  • Maintain and repair the mechanics of the front desk staff, ensuring routines are followed and staff are aligned with basic methods, procedures, and techniques for efficient community operation.
  • Act as the "HR Guru" by being an expert on Arrow’s HR practices, providing education and guidance on HR matters, tracking employee training and retention efforts, and promoting benefits to enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness as an "Entrepreneurial Steward" in managing the financial and business needs of the community, supervising arrangements, maintaining organizational structure, and keeping general order of business needs.
