The Arts Programming Assistant 1 Non-Exempt role is a PRN (as needed) position within Arts Programming. The primary responsibility is to assist with the facilitation of operations before, during, and after events, responding to emergencies and problems to ensure assigned aspects of events are implemented and controlled according to approved plans. This includes tasks such as setting up tables, chairs, and signage, monitoring guests, assisting facility users with technical and security needs, and resolving issues. The role also involves performing event prep work and tear down, communicating with facility users and vendors, filling out event incident reports, and maintaining records of event activities. The Assistant Event Coordinator will coordinate duties with other staff for efficiency and compliance, drive university vehicles, and submit timesheets. A significant aspect of the role involves working outdoors in various temperatures and conditions, navigating large venues like stadiums and arenas, and being able to walk and use stairs. Other duties and projects may be assigned.
