The role involves preparing project-specific estimates and quantity takeoffs, reviewing construction documents, and working with estimating and pre-construction staff. Candidates must have experience in drywall or metal studs to be considered. Requirements

Experience in drywall or metal studs is required for consideration.
At least 2 years of experience in construction.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must pass E-Verify.
Knowledge of interior and exterior metal stud framing, drywall installations, acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, plaster, EIFS, DEFS, and miscellaneous supporting divisions.
Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, web-based databases, and cloud services.
Ability to learn quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with The Edge estimating software is preferred.
Familiarity with Edge, Bluebeam, and OneNote is helpful.

Responsibilities

Prepare quantity takeoffs using estimating software.
Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
Develop project-specific estimates.
Thoroughly review drawings, specifications, schedules, logistics, and products.
Work as a team member.
Review vendor, subcontractor, and supplier proposals for completeness and competitiveness.
Understand overall project and trade-specific scopes of work by reviewing project documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Solicit proposals from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Complete other tasks as directed by estimating and pre-construction staff.
