Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Diving Coach to join our Athletics Department. As the nation's top-ranked undergraduate engineering college for 27 consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report, Rose-Hulman is committed to excellence in academics, athletics, and student development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with talented student-athletes and contribute to the continued success of our intercollegiate diving program. The Part-Time Diving Coach will be responsible for planning and leading technical diving practices, conducting dryland training sessions, and providing coaching support during competitions. The coach will ensure a safe training environment while instructing student-athletes in advanced diving techniques and complex maneuvers. Working under the direction of the Head Coach, this individual will assist with athlete development, contribute to practice planning, evaluate performance, and make recommendations regarding training and competitive participation. In the absence of the Head Coach, the coach may lead practices and assume additional program responsibilities as assigned. The successful candidate will maintain full compliance with NCAA, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC), and Institute policies and procedures. Collaboration with athletic trainers and other support staff, including equipment, facilities, and sports information personnel, is essential to supporting the overall success of the program and ensuring a positive student-athlete experience. This role also includes assisting with the recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes. Recruiting activities may involve travel, home visits, and support of on-campus visits for domestic and international recruits. The coach will play an important role in promoting the academic success and personal development of student-athletes by connecting them with campus resources and fostering a culture of excellence both in and out of the pool. Additional responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, travel planning, and team logistics, including transportation to away competitions when needed. The coach will also help identify equipment needs, recommend purchases to support program goals, and cultivate positive relationships with alumni, supporters, and friends of the program. Opportunities to assist with fundraising and program advancement initiatives are also part of this position.
