About The Position

This role serves a dual purpose, acting as an Assistant Coach for Diving and the Pool Manager. As an Assistant Coach, the individual will support the head coach in developing a competitive Division I program. This includes recruiting student-athletes, coaching during practices and games, participating in fundraising, engaging in community service, overseeing off-season conditioning, and handling administrative duties. As the Pool Manager, the role is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of Barletta Pool. This includes hiring, training, and certifying lifeguards, ensuring adherence to water health and safety standards, and managing the ongoing assessment and upkeep of the pool facilities. The position requires availability to work predetermined weekends, mornings, and evenings to cover year-round events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Two to four years of diving coaching and recruiting experience in Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving.
  • Thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and NCAA regulations.
  • Good organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to take on multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends.
  • Availability for travel depending on team schedules.
  • Currently hold/willing to obtain: Certification/Licensure American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification, American Red Cross Professional Rescuer, CPR/AED Instructor Certification, and National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator Certification.
  • Ability to recruit, supervise, and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Knowledge of swimming pool water chemistry, temperature, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to inspect facility for risk management or maintenance concerns and identify resolutions.

  • Previous collegiate competition experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
