Under the general direction of the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, the Assistant Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment Office and lead, train and develop, supervise, and evaluate a team of full-time and part-time staff who are responsible for planning and supporting recruitment activities. The position is a key contributor to the strategic plan and implementation of best practices, relationship building strategies, marketing initiatives, and key programming efforts designed to meet the College’s enrollment goals. The Assistant Director will maintain a high level of internal and external public contact, be expected to travel in state and work irregular hours. Student Recruitment responsibilities include: The position works closely with the Director to lead and manage the execution of an innovative recruitment plan that will include outreach, recruiting and yielding diverse students for certificate and degree programs. They develop, coordinate, and implement various events, activities and presentations which include but are not limited to fairs, presentations, campus visits/tours to recruit and yield new first-time in college, transfer, and returning students. Actively participate in events on and off campus and working evening and weekend hours as required to forger and maintain relationships with prospective students. They counsel prospective students and applicants regarding degree offerings and admissions process; contributing at all levels as needed and handling special projects as needed. Other duties include representing CSN at on-campus, off-campus, and community events. The position is responsible for the department’s social media plan and oversees all social media platform accounts. Developing key relationships with K-12 partners, industry-related businesses, community organizations, and higher education institutions is critical. Admissions responsibilities include: The Assistant Director serves as the departmental functional lead for the CRM, overseeing recruitment communication plans, campaigns, reporting, workflow management, data integrity, user training, and continuous process improvement to support enrollment goals. Works closely with the Director in creation/updates of communication plans, recruitment campaigns, helps determine marketing materials and promotion of CSN with the assistance of Office of Marketing and Communications. In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director will provide leadership and direction for the Recruitment and Admissions Office. In addition, also represent the Director and serve as a primary resource to internal and external stakeholders.
