The Office of Student Engagement and Leadership, within the Division of Student Success, is dedicated to fostering meaningful student involvement, leadership development, and personal growth. Through a variety of initiatives, organizations, and resources—including Student Organizations, Leadership Programs, Fraternity and Sorority Life, student entertainment, Homecoming, campus traditions, and university-wide programming—we educate, empower, and engage students in the life of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Our team collaborates regularly with campus partners such as Orientation, First-Year Experience, Family Weekend, Athletics, Residential Life, the Alumni Association, and other university departments to create comprehensive and enriching student experiences. Through these efforts, students develop self-awareness, leadership competencies, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively contribute to their organizations, professions, and communities. We are committed to providing experiences that promote lifelong learning and career readiness beyond graduation. The Assistant Director is part of a professional team responsible for advancing student engagement, leadership development, and learning opportunities through fraternity and sorority life, student organizations, and campus programming boards. This position primarily advises one or more student event programming boards and may have opportunities to contribute to other departmental functions. This role can provide broad experiences across multiple student engagement areas, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to build expertise in comprehensive student affairs programming and leadership development.
