Under general administrative direction, plans, directs, manages, and oversees the functions, programs, and operations of the Operations Division to include the divisions of water production, water distribution, stormwater and wastewater, streets, construction, grounds and custodial. Coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies. Provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the department Director, Deputy City Manager and City Manager. Primarily focused on managing, coaching, and developing other people. Position requires extensive expertise and knowledge in specialized functions or business areas that can be used to develop policies and procedures as well as determining efficient and innovative ways to accomplish the organization’s business strategies.
