About The Position

Due to an upcoming retirement, the City of Poway is recruiting for the position of Assistant Director of Public Works Utilities and is seeking a committed, experienced, and personable leader to guide staff, manage a substantial workload, and advance a broad range of important projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong character and uncompromising ethics—including honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness—along with expertise in administrative principles, goal setting, program development, project management, budget oversight, employee supervision, contract administration, and the application of Federal, State, and local regulations.
