The Institute for Community Health Innovation (ICHI) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Programs. This leadership role will provide supervisory oversight for grant-funded programs focused on driving meaningful community health outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker passionate about advancing health equity through high-impact project management, strategic planning, and team leadership. The Assistant Director will lead and oversee extramurally funded programs, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution of community health research projects. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring team members, monitoring project workflows, and upholding quality standards to meet deadlines. The role also involves fostering strategic partnerships with external organizations and managing contractual relationships. A key aspect of the position is utilizing performance measurement principles to design, analyze, and summarize data into actionable reports. The Assistant Director will collaborate with the Senior Director of Research Programs to develop and execute the strategic vision for ICHI’s initiatives, maintaining a high degree of professionalism, ethical sensitivity, and discretion.
