About The Position

iCare Health Network is hiring an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS) at Silver Springs Care Center in Meriden, Connecticut. The role is suited to a nurse with experience in a long-term care setting as a supervisor, unit manager, or in another progressive role. The position is Monday through Friday and works alongside the building Administrator, Director of Nursing, Staff Development Coordinator, Infection Prevention staff, other management, and floor staff. The ADNS helps oversee nursing staff and resident care, participates in facility rounds, monitors resident status and clinical care issues, and supports staff training and clinical competency. The position also provides daily oversight of RN Supervisors, Charge Nurses, and CNAs. Requirements

Active RN license in the State of Connecticut.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Improvement processes.
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing (BSN, ADN, or ADS).

Responsibilities

Assist in managing nursing staff at all levels to ensure accountability to nursing practice standards, quality care, and treatments.
Take a lead role in regular facility rounds and monitor resident status.
Maintain awareness of resident clinical care issues.
Observe and instruct clinical staff in resident care.
Assist the Director of Nursing in training nursing staff to support clinical services and meet or exceed established clinical competency levels.
Provide daily oversight of RN Supervisors, Charge Nurses, and CNAs.
