The FT ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) position is available at River Point Behavioral Health. The ADON develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies, and procedures, organizing the department according to administrative guidelines. This role advises Administration on procedural changes related to patient care and directs the implementation and compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice to promote optimal healthcare delivery. The ADON coordinates interdisciplinary care on patient units, monitors unit functioning, and initiates problem-solving. While not a direct supervisor of non-nursing staff, the ADON ensures unit organization and may address concerns with other treatment team members or non-clinical support staff, involving the Director of Nursing as needed. In collaboration with House Supervisors and nursing staff input, the ADON ensures adherence to best practice standards and serves as the DON designee when appointed.
