The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) serves as a clinical operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing. This role supports the daily clinical operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with center policies, procedures, and regulations. The ADON helps implement and oversee the care delivery model, mentors nursing staff, coordinates with other departments, and ensures a positive experience for residents and families. In addition to supporting overall clinical operations, the ADON will play a key role in managing and improving the facility’s wound care program by ensuring timely assessments, documentation, and treatment coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
