About The Position

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Springfield, Missouri. The role supports the Director of Nursing with clinical operations, nursing staff leadership, patient care oversight, and compliance. The ADON contributes to the day-to-day success and long-term growth of the department while helping ensure patients receive high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care.

Requirements

• Active Missouri RN license.
• At least 2 years of experience in hospice.
• Strong knowledge of clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, compassionate, and solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in daily clinical operations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
• Assist with patient care oversight and clinical quality initiatives.
• Review and support care plans to ensure appropriate service delivery.
• Conduct staff education, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assist with problem solving, escalations, and clinical decision making.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
