About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing manages administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department and assists the Director of Nursing with the department’s overall operation. The role supports compliance with Company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations to maintain quality care. The Assistant Director of Nursing delegates necessary administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable about policies and governmental regulations, with a passion for supporting and training stakeholders to provide excellent resident care. The position has an on-call requirement.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse in good standing with a required current state license.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• Current, active CPR certification.
• Availability to meet the on-call requirement.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in the overall operation of the department in accordance with Company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations to maintain quality care.
• Delegate the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors to perform their assigned duties.
• Support and train stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents.
