About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing (DON) by planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the daily functions of the Nursing Service Department. The ADON helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards to maintain high-quality care, as directed by the Executive Director, Medical Director, or Director of Health Services.

The role is based at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany, Indiana. Applicants must hold and maintain a current, valid state RN license and current, valid CPR certification. An associate or advanced degree in Nursing is required; 0–1 years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Associate degree or advanced degree in Nursing.
• Must have and maintain a current, valid state RN license.
• Must have and maintain current, valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the DON to help select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team.
• Help coordinate nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders to ensure continuity of residents’ total regimen of care.
• Assist with implementing the clinical staffing model and perform administrative duties, including completing medical forms, reports, audits, evaluations, and charting as necessary.
• Participate in implementing and maintaining the company’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
• Participate in and prepare for facility surveys and accreditation programs conducted by authorized regulatory agencies and/or the company.
