About The Position
Especially Kidz is a skilled pediatric nursing facility located in Shelbyville, Indiana. Especially Kidz is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional care for our residents. At Especially Kidz, we support and empower Nurses in their role by trusting them to perform direct care to residents while also encouraging them to lead their department. The Assistant Director of Nursing will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, direct and manage the nursing services department. This includes developing and maintaining written nursing policies, procedures, manuals, objectives, and philosophies, as well as implementing plans of action to correct deficiencies. The role also involves completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charts, developing and maintaining a quality assurance program, creating and implementing a nursing services organization structure, and participating in surveys and inspections by government agencies.
Requirements
- Is a graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Is currently licensed by the State of Indiana as a RN or LPN.
- Is experienced or trained in nursing services administration, rehabilitation or geriatric nursing.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, direct and manage the nursing services department.
- Develop, maintain and periodically update written nursing policies, procedures, manuals, objectives and philosophies.
- Implement plans of action to correct deficiencies.
- Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charts, etc.
- Develop and maintain a quality assurance program.
- Develop and implement a nursing services organization structure.
- Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies.
