About The Position

Warde Senior Living is hiring a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) to support nursing operations and clinical care at its 48-bed skilled nursing unit in Windham, New Hampshire. The unit provides short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. This is a 40-hour salaried leadership position with on-call responsibilities. The ADNS works alongside the Director of Nursing and a collaborative leadership team to mentor staff, strengthen clinical practices, and support compassionate, resident-centered care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with experience and strong clinical judgment and nursing leadership skills.
• Experience in infection prevention and control.
• Knowledge of CMS regulations, survey readiness, and quality improvement practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A supportive leadership style that sets clear expectations, builds trust, and leads by example.
• Commitment to resident rights, compassionate care, and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Current Infection Control certification is preferred.
• Candidates with strong infection prevention experience but no certification may be considered; Warde may support completion of the required training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations and clinical care.
• Mentor, educate, and develop nursing staff.
• Help lead infection prevention and control practices.
• Support compliance with CMS regulations and assist with survey preparation, audits, and follow-up.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Promote teamwork, clear communication, and accountability.
• Partner with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support quality care and outstanding service.
• Participate in an on-call rotation once every four weeks, covering Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM, as well as one weekday evening shift, typically Monday or Thursday.
