About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) serves as a clinical operational liaison between the units and the Director of Nursing. He/she is responsible for the daily clinical operations of the Nursing Units including ensuring compliance with center policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations. Additionally, he/she is responsible for facilitating the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, coordination and communication with other departments, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction. In the absence of the DON, the ADON assumes the duties and responsibilities of the DON. Welcome to Journey, where the community is at the heart of everything we do. Requirements

Active R.N. license
Minimum of three years of nursing experience
At least one year in a supervisory role
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
Clerical ability to analyze reports and data
Current BLS/CPR certification (as required by state regulations)

Nice To Haves

Long-term care or geriatric experience preferred
BSN preferred

Responsibilities

Serve as a clinical operational liaison between the units and the Director of Nursing.
Responsible for the daily clinical operations of the Nursing Units.
Ensure compliance with center policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations.
Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes.
Mentor staff.
Coordinate and communicate with other departments.
Ensure patient and family satisfaction.
Assume the duties and responsibilities of the DON in their absence.
Support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and enforcing policies.
Ensure regulatory compliance.
Participate in chart audits.
Oversee infection control, care planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in hiring, training, and performance reviews.
Promote professional growth and ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality care.
MDS oversight and completion of assessments.
