About The Position

WesleyLife is revolutionizing the experience of aging by challenging the stigma that aging means decline and promoting the idea that life transitions are opportunities for growth and purpose. As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Heritage House in Atlantic. Duties include leading and optimizing nursing staff operations by developing schedules, training and mentoring employees, delegating responsibilities, and fostering professional growth through regular feedback and evaluations. You will shape the care environment by developing and updating clinical policies and procedures, coordinating care with other departments, and enhancing the overall quality and continuity of resident care. Serve as a vital resident advocate—evaluating healthcare needs, facilitating care planning with families, and ensuring physical, emotional, and social well-being are prioritized. Drive quality assurance and compliance by overseeing infection control, conducting in-service training, and supporting survey readiness and regulatory inspections. Be a hands-on leader—providing leadership support in the absence of the Director of Nursing, guiding restorative nursing efforts, and stepping in as needed to support team success.
