About The Position

The Assistant Director of Leadership and Fraternity/Sorority Life plays a key role in advancing Tennessee Tech’s fraternity and sorority community by supporting chapter leadership, advising governing councils, and promoting values‑based engagement. This position focuses on leadership development, membership growth, and collaborative partnerships that elevate the visibility, vitality, and positive impact of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Through intentional training, advising, and coordinated initiatives, the Assistant Director helps cultivate an inclusive, responsible, and student‑centered fraternal experience that supports student success and aligns with institutional priorities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in student affairs or higher education
  • Experience advising student organizations, particularly fraternities and sororities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of leadership development theories and practices
  • Experience with membership recruitment and retention strategies
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in program development and assessment
  • Knowledge of risk management principles in a fraternity/sorority context
  • Experience with crisis management and intervention
