About The Position

High Point University Assistant Director of Housing assists the Senior Director of Housing and Residence Life and Director of Housing Operations with oversight of all residence halls, housing selection, and room assignments and protocols. This position also takes the lead in the housing process and placement of all first year and graduate students. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; master's degree preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and experience
• Customer service experience required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and team building skills
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• Knowledge of housing assignments and allocations
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities
• Capability to remain calm and make decisions in emergency situations
• Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with StarRez housing software is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with the management of the housing software application – StarRez.
• Serves as a liaison between housing and other campus partners such as Office of Accessibility Resource Services, Institutional Advancement, Admissions, and Student Accounts.
• Represents Student Life at all Admission visitation events and Orientation for incoming freshmen.
• Assist the Director of Housing operations with creating and maintaining the process and communication regarding the housing selection process for first year and graduate students.
• Assist the Director or Housing Operations with management of the assignments for all ADA accommodation requests.
• Supports.
• Some evening and/or weekend in work schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.
